Biography
Helene wanted to be a vet.
But it wasn’t long before she decided to switch doggies for dollies, from cats to cuts, from giving shots to taking shots.
She began on the agency side at Masius and Schofield Sherbon Baker, two Melbourne institutions that have, alas, crumbled. Then she jumped the fence, first with Corbett Cambridge and then, when Peter Corbett moved to New York, with John Lyons.
And the rest is history.
Helene has become a true mother figure in the Melbourne film industry. She has adopted and nurtured many talented young directors, bringing them up to be successes in their own right. Her progeny is now spread far and wide.
She has also contributed her knowledge and experience to many film industry boards including SPAA, the Melbourne Film Officce and AusFilm.
Having her steady hand on the helm guarantees that a production will sail through smoothly.
